An introduction to the Cambridge Cognition board.
Dr Jane Worlock
  • Jane WorlockChairman
Jane Worlock joined the Board as a non-executive director in 2009, becoming Chairman later that year. She has senior operational experience, gained over the last 30 years, in the international pharmaceutical industry and is highly experienced in corporate strategy, holding board appointments in both private and listed companies. Jane is actively involved in fund raising & IPO activities, playing a significant role in strategy planning and policy making within several companies.
Ruth Keir
  • Ruth KeirChief Executive Officer
Ruth joined the Cambridge Cognition board initially in 2010 as a non-executive director, bringing to it more than 26 years’ experience in research and business development positions in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as a spell as Director of her own consultancy practice, Archea Ltd. Prior to this, Ruth was Head of Strategic Alliances at Pfizer, leading the UK and US based Business Development team responsible for early-stage compound and technology licensing. A pharmacologist by background, Ruth graduated from Edinburgh University prior to joining Pfizer’s Discovery Research group
David Blair
  • David BlairChief Finance Officer
David studied chemistry at Oxford, holds an MBA from Manchester Business School and the Advanced Diploma in Corporate Finance. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in 1987 and was admitted to Fellowship in 1997. After spending four years in PW’s corporate finance department, he left to lead a successful MBI team and has subsequently held a variety of Board positions in private and listed companies. Since 1994 he has specialised in working with SMEs in the technology arena and their investors.
Dr Andrew Blackwell

Following an MA and a PhD in psychology from the University of St Andrews, Dr Blackwell undertook post-doctoral training in cognitive neuropsychology and psychopharmacology at the University of Cambridge, working closely on CANTAB with Professors Trevor Robbins and Barbara Sahakian. Dr Blackwell joined Cambridge Cognition in 2006 and was appointed Chief Scientific Officer in 2007.
Mark Rayner
  • Mark RaynerNon-Executive Director
Mark Rayner is the CCO and Investment Director for Pall Mall Partners Limited, the principal investor in Cambridge Cognition Ltd. He has been investing in early stage companies for over 10 years, as both investor and corporate financier. Early in his career he worked for a number of fast-growing companies such as Celsis International plc, The Astron Group, Alex Lawrie and communications company Simoco Europe (Ex Phillips Mobile Communications) in a variety of commercial and strategic roles. Before moving into these commercial roles, he trained as an Air Traffic Controller in the Royal Air Force.
Johannes Hainlein
  • Johannes HainleinNon-Executive Director
Johannes Hainlein is Director of Investment Management at Pall Mall Partners and joined the Cambridge Cognition board in 2011. Following a degree in Business Studies with French and Spanish from the European Business School in London, he worked in the City of London as an investment banker for several years before moving on to the principal side in the investment industry, engaging in a diversity of international roles.
